The problem of clogged arteries is also known as “Arterial Plaque”. It is caused by the accumulation of a substance called plaque on the inner walls of the arteries. This problem can result in improper flow of blood and restrict the amount of nutrients delivered to the body.

It is important to note that this problem can cause heart attacks and strokes if arteries become too clogged. Therefore, an individual should obtain proper treatment for this problem. Various natural remedies may also help in dealing with the problem.

Diet

An individual may be required to change his/her diet to treat the problem. It is advisable to increase the consumption of green leafy vegetables and fruits on a daily basis. Intake of lean proteins like lean chicken breast, lean pork and so on is also advisable. Fatty and processed foods should be avoided.

Intake of whole grains in the form of brown rice, oats, wild rice and so on is also recommended. Fatty fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids can also be consumed to obtain relief.

Pomegranate Juice

Consumption of pomegranate juice may help an individual in dealing with the problem of low density lipoprotein (LDL) or bad cholesterol.

The antioxidants present in pomegranate juice may also prevent the accumulation of plaque. It can also help in decreasing atherosclerotic plaques.

Garlic

A mixture of garlic (1 clove) and apple cider vinegar (half cup) can be consumed on a daily basis to obtain relief. This mixture is required to be consumed with a glass of water for effective results.

Exercise

An individual should exercise for a period of 30 to 60 minutes on a daily basis for best results. Going for a brisk walk, using stairs instead of the elevator and so on can prove beneficial. It is not essential to practice strenuous exercises to deal with the problem of clogged arteries.

Regular exercise improves the circulation by increasing the production of nitric oxide in the arteries. Further, it also helps in the production of more bone marrow which can help in the development of new blood vessels. This process helps in improving blood circulation and replacing damaged cells in the arteries. However, any physical activity should be undertaken only after discussing the health condition with a doctor.

Green Tea

Green tea is considered as a highly effective natural remedy. It can help in preventing and curing the problem. The antioxidants present in green tea may help in reducing blood cholesterol levels and inhibit the formation of abnormal blood clots.

Green tea can also slow down the progress of atherosclerosis. Therefore, an individual is advised to consume green tea on a regular basis.

Lemon and Honey

A combination of lemon juice (1 tablespoon) and honey (3 tablespoons) can also be taken on a daily basis to get relief from the problem of clogged arteries. This mixture should be added to hot water (2 tablespoons) and mixed thoroughly before consumption.

Carrot Juice

An individual can drink carrot juice (1 glass) on a daily basis to deal with the problem. It is important to consume fresh juice to get best results.
