German Chamomile essential oil is a natural anti-inflammatory, anti-allergen and is nourishing to itchy skin. It is excellent for chronic tension which results in migraine headaches, insomnia or menopausal problems.

The oils blue color comes from chamazulene which also is what gives it its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It supports the body’s natural response to irritation and injury by clearing heat from the body. This is also why is it known to dispel the emotions of anger and rage and promote peace and patience.

German Chamomile also increases regeneration of skin making it a perfect natural remedy for itchy skin, eczema and dermatitis. Also use for itchy skin allergies for dogs; or horse dermatitis

My favorite oil blends that contain German Chamomile are Endoflex and Surrender Essential Oil. Because it is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory it is also placed in Omega Blue (fatty acid fish oil supplement) and Juvatone (liver cleanser).

What is the Genus Species? Matricaria recutita. Common names are Matricaria, Hungarian Chamomile and Blue Chamomile.
