Sinus Congestion usually known as Rhinitis, blocks either one or more than one of the four sinus passages in the skull. The causes are many but the common ones being swelling in the nose, overgrown bone in the nose or it can be due to continuous dripping of mucilage through the nose.
It can be also due to smoke, food allergies, inhaled allergic smoke or dust or it can be a result of some things accidentally entering in to the nose. The general symptoms are irritation and pain in the areas of nose, eyes, head, above the tooth area, etc. You can feel severe shooting bouts of headaches, dry coughs, regular discharge of mucus, etc.
There are many ways to get rid of sinus. It can be through Home remedies, medicines or other treatments available. Here are a few of the Home Remedies for Sinus Congestion.
The first thing you have to make sure is whether the sinus was caused due to allergy either from environment, food, water, etc. Once you recall the allergens that stimulate the problem, start avoiding using them. That would give you a great relief.
Humidifiers are small machines that would help blow hot moisture in to the room. You can inhale this hot moisture and help yourself from the congestion that was mainly created due to sinus issues.
Alternatively, if you do not have a humidifier, then you can take hot water in a basin, cover your head with a towel lean on the smoke emitting out of the water would ease out the congestion.
You can add a teaspoon of salt into a glass of hot water. Use this mixture to wash your nose at regular intervals. You can even pour a portion of this liquid into one of your nostrils by bending your head backwards and holding the other nostrils, then after few seconds bend forward and blow your nose. This would clear off the passages of the nostrils and thereby ease out breathing.
You can alternatively eat spicier food forcing your nose to drip. By doing so the dry mucus deposits that were blocking nose would get cleared off. The food stuff can have a large dose of garlic, radish, etc. as they help in reducing the congestion.
Oil of Oregano
The nutrient values that are present in the oregano have been used for treating sinus and congestion of lungs. It also helps in strengthening the immune system.
You can add three or four drops of the oil of oregano to juice and drink the same. It would help in getting relieved from sinus.
Tea Tree Oil
Tree tea oil naturally has anti bacterial and anti viral substances that primarily helps in curing fungus, virus attacks or bacterial attacks. You can add three to four drops of tea oil in boiling water and inhale the vapor. The vapor helps in clearing the congestion.
Blessed with natural ingredients that help in reducing pains along with the sweet aroma, there are also other good characteristics of eucalyptus oil, which helps in curing the pain as well as eases out free breathing. Prepare a solution of boiling water by dropping three to four drops of the oil into it to be used for inhaling to ease out breathing.
