Snoring is a common problem. Any individual can snore. The problem of snoring is caused by factors such as blockage in the nasal passage, overeating, uncomfortable posture while sleeping, stress, smoking, allergy, consumption of alcohol, lack of physical workout and sleep apnea.

A few drops of eucalyptus oil can be added to a glass of warm water and used for gargling on a frequent basis to obtain relief from snoring.
A mixture created with the use of eucalyptus oil, lavender oil and water can be directly sprayed in the mouth before sleeping to obtain the desired results.
Marjoram is a perennial herb. This herb can be used in the treatment of snoring. Inhaling the aroma of marjoram oil several times in a day can reduce the problem of snoring. Massaging marjoram oil around the nose area can also help in obtaining the desired results. To obtain better results, a mixture of marjoram and lavender oil can be inhaled on a regular basis.
Ginger has soothing properties. Drinking a syrup made by boiling ginger and sugar in water multiple times in a day can cure the problem of snoring.
Grated ginger (1 teaspoon) can be consumed with honey (1 teaspoon) on a daily basis to control snoring.
Another effective herb for snoring is peppermint. Peppermint can help in reducing the vibration of the tissues resulting in snoring. Dried thyme can be steeped in water to prepare tea. Thyme tea can be consumed several times in a day to deal with snoring. Spraying a mixture of thyme and marjoram oil in the sleeping room can also provide effective results.
