Natural Cures For Ulcer

Ulcers are frequently caused by helicobacter pylori. Common symptoms of an ulcer may include burning pain in the stomach, nausea, loss of weight, vomiting and so on. Banana

Consumption of banana may help in controlling the growth of ulcer-causing bacteria. An individual should consume bananas (2) with milk (1 glass) 3 times in a day to obtain relief from the problem of acid reflux.

Chamomile

Chamomile is frequently used to treat the problem of ulcers. It has calming, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic qualities which can help in reducing the pain associated with ulcers. Intake of chamomile can also control the growth of helicobacter pylori. Chamomile tea should be consumed 3 to 4 times on a daily basis to obtain the desired results.

Cayenne Pepper

An individual can consume tea prepared with the use of cayenne pepper (1/4th teaspoon) and water on a daily basis for effective results. Food items containing cayenne pepper can also be consumed to obtain relief from the symptoms.

Cranberry

Stomach ulcers can be treated with the use of cranberry. Cranberry juice can be consumed several times on a daily basis to get the desired results. It is important to note that cranberry may not help in the treatment of all the types of ulcers.

Yarrow

An individual can also obtain effective results with the use of yarrow. Yarrow flowers are anti-microbial as well as anti-inflammatory in nature. Intake of yarrow prevents the growth of helicobacter pylori. It can also help in soothing the stomach lining. It is interesting to note that yarrow also helps in stimulating digestion and in curing the problem of loss of appetite associated with gastric ulceration.

Peppermint

Peppermint is another natural cure which can provide relief from stomach ulcers. Peppermint tea can be consumed on a daily basis. Peppermint oil can also be used for treating mouth ulcers.

Application of peppermint oil can provide relief from the pain and irritation. It is important to note that peppermint should be used in small quantities as it can result in side effects.

Red Clover

Fresh or dried red clover flowers (2 tablespoons) can be boiled in water (1 cup) to prepare tea. An individual can add honey to red clover tea and consume it before each meal to obtain effective results. A cup of red clover tea can also be consumed before going to bed at night to get relief from the symptoms.

Yogurt

Another natural remedy for ulcers is yogurt. Fresh yogurt can be consumed on a daily basis to destroy the harmful bacteria and obtain relief from the problem of peptic ulcers.
