    Home Remedy For Frequent Urination

    Cranberry Juice

    For generations, cranberry juice is considered as a good remedy for urinary tract infections. By drinking a glass of fresh cranberry juice everyday, it is possible to cure the urinary tract infection and reduce/stop the frequent urination in an effective way. It is easy to prepare cranberry juice. Take 600g of fresh cranberries and 6 cups of water.

    Then boil the cranberries with 6 cups of water in a saucepan. After boiling, just reduce the heat and close the saucepan. Do this until the cranberries have burst. Now strain the water through cheesecloth. Press the fruit to extract more juices. Now pour the strained juice into saucepan again and add sugar. Boil the juice and then simmer for about 3 mins. Cool the juice to room temperature and then you can refrigerate the drink for future consumption.

    Honey and Basil Leaves Juice

    Both basil leaves and honey have lots of medicinal properties and also have the potential to fight against many diseases. Juice of honey and basil leaves is easy to prepare and they are effective in reducing frequent urination. To prepare this juice take 1 table spoon of honey and mix with 3-4 basil leaves.

    Make sure that the ingredients are fresh. Just consume this mixture every morning on an empty stomach. This will not only reduce the problem of frequent urination but also prevent getting many other diseases and health problems.


    Plain and unflavored yogurt has the potential to fight against bacteria and infection. You shall just take yogurt in your regular food to minimize the problem of frequent urination.

    Vitamin C foods

    Vitamin C has great potential to prevent that cause of frequent urination. Hence take fruits that are rich in vitamin C. Fruits such orange and lemon has good level of vitamin C. You shall consume these fruits as raw fruit or juice.

    Drink Water

    Essential Oils

    Equal quantities of sandalwood, juniper, bergamot, tea tree and frankincense oils are to be mixed together. This oil can be massaged on the outside of the bladder area. This aroma therapy can reduce the pain and the urge for patients having the frequent urination problem.

    Echinacea, Goldenseal & Oregon-grape root

    This home remedy for frequent urination problem is very effective. Oregon grape root, goldenseal and Echinacea have the power to reduce the infection in the bladder and thereby help in reducing frequent urination problem. You can consume these as capsules.


    Tincture can be made by mixing equal quantities of Echinacea, buchu, pipsissewa and uvu ursi. This can be consumed orally. The recommended dosage is about ten to twenty drops for every two hours in the initial stages and later on the dosage can be reduced to three to four teaspoons in a day. Tincture can give a very good cure to frequent urination problem.
